Weston Hoekel was born in 1992 in Orlando, FL. He
has been playing baseball since age 5. Weston played
for the North Florida Hurricanes at the North Florida
Baseball Academy under Coach Mark Campbell.  He
even hit a homerun in Week 3 at Cooperstown Dreams
Park in July 2004.  Weston played in numerous
tournaments while at North Florida Academy and
gained the skills and confidence needed in his
upcoming high school career.
Weston would be one of the few in many years to
make the Varsity Bishop Kenny High School Baseball
Team as a freshman.  As a sophomore under coach
Tommy Edwards, Hoekel would pitch the District and
Regional 4A Championship games.  He would hold off
Rockledge in the 7th inning of the Semi-finals to go on
and pitch the entire State Championship game.
Weston had 7 strikeouts and 64 strikes taking Bishop
Kenny to the victory over Riverdale and the 2008
FSHAA 4A State Championship.
